Vishay's new radial aluminium capacitors for automotive and industrial applications feature high operating temperatures and long service life

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced the launch of a new series of automotive grade radial aluminum capacitors, the 160 RLA. The new capacitor can operate at high temperatures of +150 ° C and has a service life of up to 2000 hours at +150 ° C, providing high stability and reliability for automotive and industrial applications.

     The Vishay BCcomponents 160 RLA series is available in 10 form factors from 10mm x 12mm to 18mm x 35mm. These capacitors are AEC-Q200 certified with impedance as low as 23 Mω at 100kHz, rated ripple current up to 2000mA at +150 ° C for improved reliability, and capacitance from 33μF to 3300μF in the voltage range from 16V to 50V.

     The 160 RLA series devices are polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitors with non-solid-state electrolytes, self-healing dielectrics, and radial leads, and are particularly suited for smoothing, filtering, and buffering in switching and DC/DC power supplies. The capacitors are RoHS compliant, with a cylindrical aluminum housing with a decompression device, insulated between the decompression device and the housing with a blue PET sleeve, anti-charge and anti-discharge, there is no limit to peak current.
