The new Bosch interactive laser projection microscanner BML050 debuted in China

Bosch has officially launched the core of this solution for the Chinese market - the MEMS scanner BML050 for interactive laser projection applications, which not only enables non-focusing laser projection, but also transforms all surfaces into virtual user interfaces (UI). Bosch technology makes interactive projectors a reality

With the introduction of the BML050, Bosch Sensortec extends its current product range to the field of optical Microsystems. The scanner includes two miniature MEMS mirrors, which allow an RGB color laser to be projected onto all surfaces to create a projected image. The BML050 is compact and energy efficient, especially for space - and power-constrained equipment.

Bosch Sensortec offers plug and play projector reference designs, including RGB light sources. This facilitates rapid evaluation and saves design introduction time, giving early adopters a head start. The interactivity of this device is achieved by a photodiode that measures the intensity of the reflected light pixel by pixel, without calibration.

With advanced spot suppression and precise control of MEMS scanning mirrors and laser diodes, Bosch Sensortec solutions provide excellent projection quality. The BML050's innovative projection technology eliminates focus adjustment tasks, and the local laser color space greatly exceeds industry standards, including Adobe RGB.
