Renesas Electronics has introduced a new generation of advanced driver assistance systems

     Renesas Electronics announced the launch of a new generation of advanced Driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving and connected cockpit demonstration vehicles. Renesas' three demonstration vehicles - from sensor fusion to ADAS to connected cockpit - fully demonstrate integrated systems based on advanced, technologically production-ready technologies that help Oems and Tier 1 automotive suppliers address the complex challenges of autonomous vehicle design as they transition from test and simulation to production.

     The three demonstration vehicles are part of Renesas' open, innovative and trusted Renesas autonomy™ Platform Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving platform, which provides a complete end-to-end solution from cloud connectivity to perception and vehicle control. With the Renesas autonomy platform, Renesas is committed to contributing to safe mobility in the era of autonomous driving.

     Renesas Electronics introduced breakthrough upgrades to embedded vision processing, LIDAR, GPS and cybersecurity in the Lincoln MKZ and ADAS Cadillac cars on display. Renesas also introduced a new connected cockpit display car based on the Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, demonstrating the convergence of embedded and cloud technologies to deliver a more integrated and personalized in-car experience. Renesas will participate in the 2018 CES Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas from January 19 to 22, 2018, and will showcase the above demonstration cars in the Renesas Electronics Pioneer Self-driving Test Lane, future-proof Solutions Exhibit area.
