Renesas Electronics and Green Hills have teamed up to develop a connected cockpit demonstration car

     Renesas Electronics and Green Hills Software, a global leader in reliable real-time operating systems and virtualization technologies, announced that the two companies are collaborating on the Renesas Electronics Connected Cockpit demonstration vehicle based on the Dodge Ram pickup truck. At CES 2018, the Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, which will be on display at both companies' booths, will feature several new immersive technologies and integrate production-ready automotion-grade hardware based on Renesas Electronics' R-Car H3 Automotive Computing System-on-chip (SoC). Along with Green Hills Software's INTEGRITYRTOS and INTEGRITY MultivisorTM virtualization technologies, Amine reliably integrates ISO 26262 compliant safety-critical applications with Android infotainment systems and cockpit functions.

     The R-Car H3 is part of Renesas' open, innovative and trusted Renesas autonomyTM Platform Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving platform, which provides a complete end-to-end solution from cloud connectivity to perception and vehicle control. With Renesas autonomy, Renesas is committed to helping build a safe and secure society in the era of autonomous driving.

     The Renesas Connected Cockpit Demo Car is a development platform that supports innovation, integration and testing of in-car hardware and software components under real-world constraints and conditions. Working with key partners such as Green Hills Software, Renesas will continue to integrate new hardware and software components into the platform, including the latest virtualization technologies and security systems.
