Rack-mounted power supply enclosures support future energy needs

     TTI IP&E offers Mean Well power components, including the latest DHP-1UT-B (HV) mount rack power racks, to support electronics engineers in developing and building next-generation renewable and hydrogen energy systems.

     "Eu environmental regulations require 45% of energy generation in Europe to come from renewable sources by 2030," said Markus Lorenz, TTI European Industrial Market Director. "To achieve this, the green energy generated by wind turbines and solar panels must be efficiently stored. Hydrogen is also expected to play an important role in the transition to a more sustainable future, as using hydrogen energy is the most efficient way to transport and store energy over a longer period of time at a higher density, without loss."

     This latest mounting rack power rack for standard 19-inch cabinets features a modular design that delivers reliable power and is ideal for applications such as electrolysis, distributed power architecture and EV charging stations.

     The rack can accommodate up to four Mean Well NCP-3200-380 power supplies, providing 12.8kW per rack and up to 10 racks in parallel, producing a total power of up to 128kW. This modularity allows users to scale when additional power is needed and respond to future power demands.

     The power supply rack supports redundancy, and the power supply can be configured as an N+1 system to provide maximum operational reliability. If a single power supply fails, the operator can easily replace the defective power supply without interrupting and shutting down the entire system.

     The solution can be used with power components, including the NCP-3200-380 power module and the CMU2 smart Power controller, as part of a broader smart system power solution.
