ON Semiconductor presents its latest integrated semiconductor solutions

     Driving energy efficient innovation, ON Semiconductor will be showcasing integrated semiconduct-based systems for industrial, automotive and consumer applications at EmbeddedWorld next week in Nuremberg, Germany, with a focus on the Internet of Things (loT) and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) or Industry 4.0, as well as image sensing and power management solutions for automotive applications.

     As wireless connectivity continues to enable IoT, On Semiconductor is introducing a range of ARMcortex ultra-low power RF System single-chip (SoC) with different memory and speed options. The family leads the pack in terms of integration, bringing together a 32-bit ARMCortex-M0+ core and subsystems, including a Sub-GHz(27MHz to 1050MHz) narrowband transceiver and power amplifier, as well as programmable analog and programmable digital modules. This family of devices supports popular wireless protocols, including Sigfox, providing unprecedented flexibility and true single-chip system functionality for a variety of loT applications. The memory options will override the popular 64k/128k/256k flash sizes at 20MHz or 48MHz.

     In the automotive industry, semiconductor technology forms the basis for the ongoing trend towards fully autonomous driving and increasing electronic components in connected vehicles. Multiple exhibits and interactive demonstrations from On Semiconductor cover areas such as image sensing and in-vehicle wireless charging, highlighting the company's industry-leading solutions in these exciting and rapidly evolving technology areas.

     On Semiconductor will also showcase its expertise and innovation in battery-free intelligent passive sensing, machine vision image sensing, USBType-C and integrated power management solutions. These technologies and devices drive the development of new compelling end products for both consumer and industrial markets. Many of these end products are on display at Embedded World, including IoT applications for smart homes/smart buildings and security and monitoring.

     Other demonstrations at ON Semiconductor's booth included the multi-protocol Bluetooth 5 Radio System single-chip (SoC)RSL10, which is key to enabling ultra-low power IoT applications. The RSL10's high energy efficiency was recently validated by EEMBC@'sULPMarkTM with a CoreProfile score more than twice that of previous industry leaders. The company is an industry leader in image sensors and its portfolio of CMOS image sensors designed for automotive, industrial, security and surveillance will also be demonstrated.
