LTE Band3 micro high power duplexer, essential for intelligent terminal communication
Avago Corporation, the world's leading supplier of analog, digital and mixed-signal devices and subsystems, has launched LTE Band 3 (uplink 1710MHz-1785MHz). The ACMD-6103, a highly miniaturized duplexer designed for mobile phones and mobile data terminals, runs in the downlink 1805MHm-1880mhz band. Using Avago's patented technology, the duplexer offers high isolation and noise suppression as well as excellent power handling. The ACMD-6103 can be widely used in smartphones, tablets, data terminals and other mobile and portable communication devices operating in the LTE Band 3 band.
Sensitivity is one of the main performance indexes of a diplexer. A low insertion loss of up to 3.5dB in the ACMD-6103 transmit channel minimizes the current extracted by the power amplifier, and an insertion loss of down to 4.0dB(maximum) in the receive channel enhances receiver sensitivity. At the same time, the ACMD-6103 greatly enhances the sensitivity and dynamic range of handheld devices by providing high transmission isolation of the received signal and suppressing transmission noise in the receive bandwidth range.
The ACMD-6103 uses Avago's patented thin-film cavity acoustic resonance technology (FBAR), which allows the duplexer to provide a high quality factor while significantly reducing its size. The bulk transfer mode resonators using thin-film cavity acoustic resonator technology have excellent power processing capacity and can provide higher levels of power output with almost no added distortion during mobile phone calls.
The PCB design of smart phones, tablets and other handheld devices is very expensive, and the size of the core components greatly affects the overall design of these handheld devices. The ACMD-6103 uses Avago's advanced microstrip chip packaging technology. This processing allows the filter to be embedded in a moulded on-board chip module with an overall area of only 1.6mm x 2.0mm and a height of only 0.9mm. The ACMD-6103 also conforms to the standard 1.6mm x 2.0mm duplexer PCB pin package.
