KEMET's Y1 certified EMI rejection capacitor consists of a metallized polypropylene film

KEMET's R4Y Film capacitor is a Y1 certified EMI suppression capacitor consisting of a metallized polypropylene film encapsulated in a UL 94 V-0 compliant box in a self-extinguishing resin. These capacitors have excellent performance in harsh environments, high temperatures, reliability and miniaturization. R4Y capacitors can withstand harsher environments and higher temperatures, and extend their service life. A wider range of capacities and smaller sizes provide greater design flexibility for customers' applications.

The R4Y series is the first Y1 EMI suppression capacitor to be marketed, capable of up to 2k hours (500 VAC) or 1k hours (750 VAC) extended service life when exposed to +125°C operating temperatures. In addition, the series is the only robust Y1 EMI rejection capacitor on the market capable of providing excellent harsh environment tolerance at rated AC voltages.
