Intelligent digital 3 axis accelerometer for STMicroelectronics

STMicroelectronics LIS2DUX12 is an intelligent digital 3-axis accelerometer. Its MEMS and ASics are specifically designed to combine the lowest possible current consumption with already-on-line features such as anti-aliasing filtering, finite state machine (FSM), and machine learning. The core (MLC) is combined with adaptive self-configuration (ASC).

FSM and MLC with ASC provide LIS2DUX12 with excellent already-online edge processing. The LIS2DUX12 MIPI I³C® secondary interface and embedded 128-stage FIFO buffer complete a range of functions that make the accelerometer a reference for system integration from a bill of materials, processing or power consumption perspective. The LIS2DUX12 has user selectable full ranges of ±2 g, ±4 g, ±8 g, and ±16 g, and is capable of measuring acceleration at output data rates from 1.6 Hz to 800 Hz.

The LIS2DUX12 has a dedicated internal engine to handle motion and acceleration detection including free fall, wake up, click/double click/triple recognition, active/inactive, 6D/4D orientation and configurable pedometer. The LIS2DUX12 is packaged in a small thin plastic contact grid array package (LGA) that is capable of operating in a wider temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
