Infineon helps secure authentication for computing and emerging iot applications

     Infineon Technologies AG's certified security solutions protect data, devices and networks for mainstream computing and the emerging Internet of Things (IoT). As a leader in trusted computing, Infineon has announced the launch of its OPTIGA™ TPM(Trusted Platform Module) based on the latest TPM 2.0 standard, the industry's first such device to meet internationally recognized computer security requirements. The device has been certified by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) according to the general guideline EAL4+. Common Standards Certification is an independent third-party process that helps system and device manufacturers choose trustworthy solutions.

     With the Common Standards certification, Infineon is the first in the industry to support the forward-looking requirements of Windows 10 personal computers equipped with TPM 2.0. This latest edition of the internationally recognized TPM standard (ISO/IEC 11889:2015) also meets the security needs of a growing number of iot terminals. Trusted computing based on TPM hardware "trust anchors" can achieve strong protection for smart home gateways and routers, mobile terminals, and devices such as the industrial Internet and the Internet of vehicles. Google's new OnHub Wi-Fi router, Microsoft's Surface™ Pro 3 tablet and many other platforms already feature Infineon's OPTIGA TPM devices.
