Flow computer provides multi-functional measurement of liquid hydrocarbon and gas flow

     The Ex-i Flow Measurement SFC3000 flow computer is a highly versatile liquid hydrocarbon and gas flow measurement device that can be operated in standalone single-flow flow measurement systems or as part of highly complex multi-flow systems.

     The device is much more than a dedicated traffic computer. It can operate at multiple levels, from a monitoring machine to a standalone process computer or as a system component. With its touchscreen VGA display and extensive processing power, combined with easy-to-use controls and unique operating software, it can be integrated into a traffic computer enclosure as a complete workstation monitor.

     Designed specifically to meet the needs of the global liquid hydrocarbon and gas measurement market, the facility is designed to positively contribute to the management and conservation of the world's dwindling energy resources by providing versatile and accurate measurements as well as state-of-the-art designs and components.

     Turbine, ultrasonic and Coriolis flowmeters can be connected using pulse inputs, either as a single or double pulse train. In addition, ultrasonic and Coriolis flow meters can be connected via the RS232/485 serial port on each IO option board.

     Additional features, including an optional I/O board, can be added to the base system. By adding a communication board, data can be obtained from a gas chromatograph or other source via a serial or Ethernet port. Flow measurement data can also be transferred to other systems, such as printers or DCS, through the communication board port. The recorded data can be stored internally or on an optional SD card. The density measuring unit can be connected to a pulse or 4-20mA input.

     The device is packaged in an industry-standard half-width 3U high 19 "rack construction for panel or chassis mounting. It can accommodate up to six user plug-in cards and five measurement streams in the same chassis. Operating temperature range; PRT inputs, -10C to 55C (15F to 130F), Hart and 4-20mA inputs, -25C to 55C (-15F to 130F). Operating humidity ≤90%, no condensation, in line with the environment level M2/E2.
