Digilent's MCC WebDAQ 316 thermocouple data logger
Digilent's Measurement Computing WebDAQ 316 is a stand-alone temperature logger designed for remote monitoring. All intelligence is built into WebDAQ without a PC or other software. With embedded WebDAQ Web servers, users can easily configure simple or complex applications, record temperature data, update digital output and/or send notifications based on alert conditions, and view real-time data from any location and any device using a web browser. WebDAQ 316 provides 16 isolated thermocouple inputs and four isolated digital bits that can be used as trigger inputs or alert outputs. The WebDAQ 316 is installed in a heavy-duty chassis and is robust enough for industrial applications.
The WebDAQ family of embedded operating systems and web servers provides an all-in-one software package for independent data logging and alerting. Users can monitor and control applications from anywhere using a Web browser. The WebDAQ Web server is optimized for desktop and mobile use. Users can perform data acquisition tasks from their phones, tablets and laptops through a single intuitive user interface.
The embedded web server provides a clean and intuitive interface to access all configuration and data management tasks. Hardware, triggers, and alert Settings are contained in a single task or job. For more complex data logging applications, multiple jobs can be run as planned. For example, a user can create a job plan that allows one job to run automatically after another job triggers an alert condition, such as when a numeric input changes.
WebDAQ 316 can be installed on any network and accessed using any device with a web browser for remote monitoring and control of all operations. Users can create multiple alerts using analog or digital channel sources. Alerts can be configured to reset and reposition when conditions clear, or reset remotely using the browser. You can view the alarm status on the web page. You can use E-mail and SMS messages to receive notifications of events and alerts at one or more addresses.
Data files and configuration Settings can be stored locally on internal flash memory, or saved to external media or network folders. Users can map a network drive or FTP server as a location to record data or store files. Easily transfer files between WebDAQ storage locations and mapped network storage locations.WebDAQ measures up to 16 analog inputs at rates of up to 75 S/s per channel. Multiple thermocouple types (J, K, T, E, N, B, R, S) can be configured for each channel. Four isolated digital I/O lines can be used as triggers to start or stop the collection, or as alarm outputs.
Some users need more customization than the web browser interface can provide. For these users, a RESTful API is provided to start and stop collection, retrieve data in real time, access information about systems, plans, and jobs, and get collection and alarm status. With RESTful apis, data from WebDAQ devices can be displayed on any popular data dashboard, cloud application, or custom application.
