Cypress enables mission-critical data capture in industrial iot applications
Cypress Semiconductor Corporation announced that embedded systems retailer MikroElektronika(MikroE) has adopted Cypress 4-Mb serial ferroelectric random access memory (F-RAM4) in its latest Click BoardM board with mikroBUST4 interface. FRAM2ClickBoard is a compact plug-and-play solution for evaluating the data logging and processing capabilities of Cypress F-RAM, effectively accelerating the prototyping and development process for industrial iot applications.
The Cypress 4-Mb Serial F-RAM series is the ideal memory choice for industrial iot applications as well as low-power applications such as smart meters, test and measurement devices, wireless sensor nodes and factory equipment that require high-performance, highly reliable non-volatile data capture. The memory series features a 40-Mhz serial peripheral interface (SPI) with an operating voltage of 2.0V-3.6V and is RoHS compliant in an 8-pin industry standard package. All Cypress F-RAM products have 100 trillion (10^14) read/write cycle durability and data retention up to 10 years at 85°C and 151 years at 65°C. Cypress's low-power F-RAM memory is ideal for applications that require high frequency and highly reliable continuous recording of data.
