Cypress Automotive integrates the Altia human-computer interaction code generator with the MCU family

     Cypress Semiconductor Corporation and Altia have announced the integration of the Altia human-computer interaction code generator for the Cypress Traveo7M automotive microcontroller (MCU) family. The partnership provides a cost-effective platform for automakers to combine rich graphics and advanced features in dashboards, head-up displays and HVAC displays. The Traveo family of Altia code generation solutions has been adopted by several international automotive manufacturers and top suppliers.

     Cypress's TraveoMCU family of products features a 32-bit RISC microcontroller with an Am⑧ Cortex@-R5240-Mhz core for high-end graphics in a single-chip MCU solution. This series of microcontrollers is equipped with an efficient 2D/3D image engine that combines speed, protective safety, functional safety performance and high-quality images while saving storage space. In addition, the Traveo series meets the demanding performance and quality requirements of automotive applications.

Cypress also offers a broad portfolio of automotive products, including NOR flash memory, PSOCMCUs and power management ics, that can significantly enhance the value of total system solutions.

     To Design Traveo's human-computer interface, Altia's WYSIwYG user interface editor, Altia Design, combines various graphical resources into a single model. Next, the Altia DeepScreen code generator uses the resources unique to the microcontroller to generate C code that can be used for mass production, bringing a good user experience to mass production embedded displays.
