Battery monitoring chipsets improve the performance and life of next-generation batteries

     Today, Dukosi Ltd. announced that the Dukosi Battery Monitoring System (DKCMS) for safety-critical next-generation battery systems is ready for production. The DKCMS core hardware has passed extensive certification testing for the AEC-Q100, meeting the stringent requirements and life expectancy of electric vehicles and stationary BESS.

     The company's unique chip battery technology and proprietary C-SynQ communication protocol have changed the way batteries are designed and monitored. DKCMS's battery monitoring and non-volatile embedded memory also provide lifetime traceability, bringing customers' products into compliance with upcoming regulations such as the EU Battery Passport. Its novel contactless solutions overcome the limitations of traditional wired and far-field wireless systems, freeing them from the constraints of physical design and offering increased security, design flexibility and scalability.

     The DKCMS core is a unique contactless battery monitoring solution that includes the DK8102-AQ-25 battery monitoring chip, DK8202-AR-25 system hub chip, Dukosi API and C-SynQ. The Cell Monitor, installed directly on each Cell, precisely monitors key operating parameters such as voltage and temperature, as well as necessary Cell balancing functions and diagnostics. The system hub uses the company's proprietary C-SynQ to manage bidirectional data transfer between the Cell monitor and the BMS host via a single bus antenna. C-SynQ provides highly secure, very robust, reliable communication, predictable latency, and synchronizes all Cell Monitor measurements for optimal packet performance.
