Artesyn Embedded Technologies introduces a new 550W CRPS server power supply
Artesyn Embedded Technologies announced the availability of a new 550W server power supply compliant with Intel's Universal Redundant Power Supply (CRPS) technical specification that features infrastructure to support devices such as hyperconverged computing systems, networking and storage systems. It is most suitable for enterprise-class information systems and cloud network devices.
The CSU550AP power supply is housed in a small sealed 1U high housing. Thanks to the latest switched power conversion technology and a high-density component package, the power supply measures just 2.89 x 7.28 inches (73.5 x 185.0mm), much smaller than older models with roughly the same power.
Suitable for input voltages ranging from 90V to 264V(AC), the power supply is equipped with active power factor correction and has a rated conversion efficiency of up to 94%, meeting the efficiency requirements specified in the 80 Plus Platinum certification.
The CSU550AP power supply has a 12V(DC) main output that drives a distributed power architecture system and feeds the DC/DC power converter downstream of the system, while a 12V(DC) backup output provides rated 3A current to the power management or monitoring circuit. The main output (DC) provides current up to 45.8A. In addition, the power supply is equipped with an active current sharing function, so multiple power supplies can be connected in parallel, so you can provide more power for high current applications without additional components, ensuring that the product can be fully cost-effective.
The CSU550AP power supply is hot-swappable and compatible with ATsen's universal PMBus™ graphical user interface, allowing users to perform control functions through a built-in I2C interface that complies with the industry-standard PMBus communication protocol. It also complies with Class A (Class A) conducted/radiated electromagnetic interference + 6dB gain margin and EU RoHS certification.
