Ams OSRAM AS7343L 13-channel multi-spectral sensor. This compact sensor combines multi-channel color analysis with XYZ sensor technology to match the human eye's perception of color and light intensity. The AS7343L can be integrated into colorimeters, portable spectrometers, and consumer devices, allowing users to achieve greater productivity, flexibility, and richer functionality in color matching, lighting control, and spectral analysis applications. The device is optimized for reflection, transmission, and emission measurements, including lateral flow test applications, fluid or reagent analysis, color matching, and spectral recognition in the visible range.

 

The AS7343L is a versatile sensor ideal for color analysis in applications requiring frequent, accurate measurements. In agriculture, operators of greenhouses and indoor farms use color analysis to optimize the spectral characteristics of horticultural lighting to maximize yield and energy efficiency. The growth of different crops is stimulated by different parts of the visible light spectrum.

 

Another application of the AS7343L is smoke alarms and heat alarms for detecting spectral smoke signatures. Spectral analysis of the AS7343L sensor enables the smoke sensor to distinguish between different types of smoke, including smoke and water vapor from wood and plastic burning.

 

The AS7343L comes in a 3.1mm x 2.0mm x 1.0mm flat package, ideal for space-constrained applications. The device incorporates programmable digital GPIO and LED drivers for easy control of light source and trigger/sync. The device control and spectral data access are realized through serial I²C interface.
