Allegro introduces unique 2D Hall Effect speed and direction sensor ics

     Allegro MicroSystems, LLC announced the introduction of the new 2D Hall Effect latch IC series APS12625 and APS12626, featuring vertical and planar Hall elements that enable 2D sensing, thereby reducing system size and bill of Materials (BOM) costs. And improves performance and flexibility. The APS12625 and APS12626 are developed according to ISO 26262 and support the AEC-Q100 standard for automotive and other safety-critical systems. The APS12625 has speed and directional outputs, while the APS12626 has four-way (channels A and B) outputs. A unique optional feature allows the host system to restore the sensor's previous state after re-powering, which avoids data loss in smart motion applications such as window lifters with anti-pinch features.
