ADI Trinamic unveils a new generation of high performance stepper motor driver ics

Enabling motors to move quietly, precisely and efficiently, ADI Trinamic's family of stepping motor driver solutions is renowned in the industry. For example, TMC2208 provides an integrated motor driver solution for 3D printing, cameras, scanners and other automation device applications with an integrated microstepping dispatcher, StealthChop2, a completely noiseless current control mode, is designed to drive bipolar stepper motors.

Unlike other choppers, StealthChop2 reduces the noise of 3D printers by 15dB or more without having to configure them in advance. The TMC2209 supports higher currents and also conforms to lower operating voltages. TMC2130, a high-performance driver chip for two-phase stepper motors, offers up to 256 times microsteps compared to the industry standard 16 times microsteps, thus providing extremely smooth, precise motion control, achieving high precision positioning and minimum resonance, while having the highest efficiency and optimal motor torque.

ADI Trinamic offers a new generation of TMC2240 intelligent high-performance stepper motor driver IC with high integration, high energy efficiency and a smaller profile that makes a miniaturized and scalable system a cost-effective solution.
