A 300mA output LDO with normal power indications and conforming to automotive specifications
Diodes Corporation (Diodes) expands its portfolio of low-voltage differential (LDO) regulators for automotive specifications with the introduction of two product lines. Both the AP7583AQ and AP7583Q series have a maximum output current of 300mA and a pressure differential of 320mV, making these Ldos ideal for battery-connected automotive applications. This product supports body control modules, in-vehicle network transceivers, electric vehicle (EV) battery management systems, exterior lighting infrastructure, and microelectronics hardware used in dashboards.
Each AP7583AQ series device has a power-good indicator output, an important differentiator in this product that enables continuous power supply monitoring, also provides fault reporting and helps with power switching timing.
The AP7583AQ and AP7583Q products are available in fixed output voltage versions (3.3V and 5V) and adjustable output versions, both supporting a wide input voltage of 3V to 42V. The wide input voltage combined with the low voltage difference allows these LDO products to support cold start and handle load drops.
Ultra-low static current is another key feature of the AP7583AQ and AP7583Q series. The products are only 3µA at light load, which allows them to provide optimized power for "always on" components such as microcontrol units (MCUS) and CAN transceivers in standby systems.
All AP7583AQ and AP7583Q series units comply with AEC-Q100 Grade 1 specifications, are manufactured in IATF 16949 certified facilities and support PPAP documentation. Both LDO series are available in a 6-pin W-DFN2020 package. In addition, the AP7583AQ series is available in 8-pin MSOP and 4-pin TO252 package formats.
