3M Scotch-Weld Thread Locking Agent Anaerobic adhesive is a single-component anaerobic adhesive widely used in a variety of applications to solidify and seal threaded components to prevent vibration loosening and/or leakage. All products have excellent vibration resistance, corrosion resistance and impact resistance. Designed to provide varying strength, temperature, nut/bolt size and other requirements, partial thread locking agent supports removal and meets a variety of application specific options.

Features and advantages

● The TL22 can be removed using hand tools. It is a low strength (low torque removal) thread locking agent for small diameter fine grained screws, positioning screws, nuts, bolts and hexagonal and slotted parts (such as pin type fasteners).

● The TL42 is a general purpose, hand tool removable medium strength thread locking agent for machine tool access cover bolts and hydraulic system bolts. It is also available for gearbox/drive shaft bolts, bearing cap screws, countersunk screws and conveying roller bolts

● The TL43 is a universal, hand tool removable medium strength thread locking agent for most medium and coarse thread screws, nuts and bolts. It has oil resistance to help ensure the safety of the coated parts, and its thixotropy prevents the adhesive product from running off, dripping, or migrating when used on the parts

● The TL62 is a medium to high strength thread locking agent designed to secure high strength holding components. It allows removal by heating, reducing strength by about 10% when used on slightly oily parts

● The TL72 is a permanent high strength thread locking agent designed to lock bolts and studs up to 1" diameter. It can be used for high temperature thread locking (intermittently up to 400°F), and its thixotropic properties prevent liquid adhesives from dripping or migrating after assembly
