     Amphenol RF expands its antenna portfolio with internal and external iot antennas that support the Zigbee wireless communication protocol, which is designed for low-power, low-data rate and close-range applications. These antennas come in various configurations such as whips, FPCS, and PCBS, as well as chip options with several microcoax cable assembly options designed to connect to Zigbee wireless modules. They join a growing catalog of external and internal iot antennas that are currently available in a variety of configurations to meet common wireless protocols such as LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and LoRa.

     Amphenol RF announced the expansion of its emerging antenna portfolio to offer a variety of options that support the Zigbee wireless protocol. Zigbee antennas operate on three specified frequencies :2.4GHz, 868MHz, and 915MHz, depending on the application and geographic location. These antennas are designed for low-power, low-data rate and close-range applications. They are primarily used in automation and iot environments because of their ability to support mesh networks in smart homes, industrial automation, healthcare, retail services, and smart energy technologies.

     These antennas are better suited to a variety of designs because they are able to meet application-specific requirements related to range, power consumption, network complexity, and data rate requirements. Zigbee technology uses less energy, which makes it ideal for battery-powered devices. Zigbee antennas can support multiple devices in a single network, which is useful in complex automation systems in industrial and home environments, and can reduce network congestion. The wireless protocol also uses a standardized protocol stack, which is designed to ensure interoperability between various devices from different manufacturers, allowing them to communicate seamlessly.
