Common working principle of liquid level sensor:
1. Radar liquid level sensor
The radar level sensor has the same advantages as the laser measurement principle. It is not affected by the measuring medium, is less affected by the external environment, and does not need to be calibrated repeatedly. However, the measuring height is generally less than 6 meters, especially suitable for the measurement of residuum, asphalt and other large containers with heated steam in the tank.
2. Ultrasonic liquid level sensor
The principle of ultrasonic level sensor is to calculate the level height by monitoring the time difference between ultrasonic transmission and reflection. Simple installation, high flexibility, but easily affected by ultrasonic propagation energy loss, not suitable for foam, dust, steam and other absorption environment.
3, static pressure level sensor
The measurement principle of the static pressure level sensor is to obtain the pressure value by installing the pressure sensor at the bottom. The advantage of calculating the liquid level height is that it is not affected by the liquid level height. However, the higher the height, the higher the precision of the liquid level sensor is required. Therefore, it needs to be calibrated when the liquid is used or replaced for a long time. 4. Float type liquid level sensor
Float liquid level sensor is a kind of mechanical detection, through the float up and down to measure the change of liquid level. Repetition accuracy is poor, not suitable for viscous or impurity liquid, easy to cause float jam. Floating ball liquid level sensor is widely used, economical and practical. It is usually used in monitoring fields such as catchment pit, fire pool and sewage treatment. It is not suitable for monitoring fields of food hygiene industry.
5, tuning fork vibration level switch
Tuning fork vibration level switch is widely used in industrial control system, almost applicable to all liquid monitoring fields. For example, plant coolant tanks and lubricant tanks are continuously monitored. The principle is: when liquid or bulk material fills two vibrating forks, by detecting the change of frequency to send a switching signal. The output is a switching quantity and cannot measure continuous height. In addition, the photorefractive measurement emits the light source from inside the sensor through a transparent resin and fully reflects the light source back to the sensor receiver. However, when the liquid level is encountered, some light is only refracted onto the liquid, thus allowing the sensor to detect light volume control of all transparent levels.
