Vishay introduces the high-performance RCP series of thick film resistors for high power surface mount RF applications

     Vishay Intertechnology has announced the availability of the RCP series of thick film resistors for high power surface mount RF applications in 0505, 0603 and 2512 form factors. Vishay Dale devices have very high thermal conductivity and power levels up to 22W with active temperature control.

     The RCP series resistors use a stable thick film resistance core on an aluminum nitride (AIN) substrate, sealed with epoxy resin, and are suitable for many applications in the automotive, aerospace, defense, industrial, and communications markets. In addition to the above form factors, the existing 1206 form factors have also been enhanced to achieve power levels of up to 2.4W with standard board mounting. The operating temperature of the device ranges from -55℃ to +155℃.

     The RCP series resistance ranges from 10Ω to 2kΩ, tolerances are ±2% and ±5%, and TCR is ±100 PPM /℃. To improve weldability, the device is terminated using tin/lead and lead-free coil wrap on a nickel barrier. The resistors comply with RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and comply with the halogen-free provisions of JEDEC JS709A.
