Vishay introduces a new series of high voltage thin film flat chip resistors
Vishay Intertechnology has announced the introduction of a new series of high voltage thin film flat sheet resistors, TNPV e3, with operating voltages up to 1000V, providing the industry's first VCR of less than 1ppm/V, strict tolerances of ±0.1%, and TCR of as low as ±10ppm/K. The operating voltage of approximately dimensional thin-film resistors is generally 200V, and the Vishay Draloric TNPV e3 series devices can replace larger sized resistors or multiple approximately dimensional devices, reducing the number of components in precision high-voltage circuits, thereby saving board space. The resistor's excellent voltage coefficient at high voltage and unmatched precision performance significantly improves performance, so it can also replace dedicated high voltage thick film resistors.
Vishay's TNPV e3 series resistors are available in 1206 and 1210 form factors, with resistors ranging from 121kΩ to 3.01MΩ, operating at -55 ° C to +125 ° C and a rated dissipation of 0.33W at 70 ° C ambient temperatures. The resistance has excellent load life stability rate, which is extremely stable and reliable under various environmental conditions. Under rated power and +70℃, the load life stability rate of less than ± 0.05% can be maintained for 1000 hours. Good moisture resistance enables the device to work for 1000 hours under 85℃ and 85% relative humidity conditions. Sulfur resistance meets ASTM B 809 requirements.
These performance indicators enable designers to use these RoHS compliant, halogen-free devices in most applications of modern electronics, where accuracy, reliability and stability are the primary concerns at high operating voltages. Precision voltage measurement is an essential feature for a variety of industrial and automotive high voltage applications including power and frequency inverters for photovoltaics, wind power, electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), battery management systems for EVs and HEVs, lighting, and test and measurement equipment.
