Vishay announces the industry's first high frequency IHLP inductor that improves DC/DC efficiency

Vishay Intertechnology has announced the release of the first ultra-thin, high-current IHLP inductor with extended frequency range, the IHLP-1616BZ-0H. The new IHLP 1616BZ-0H series has a high frequency performance of 10 MHZ, with the lowest loss of inductors currently on the market at 1MHz and above. By using the IHLP-1616BZ-0H, design engineers can improve efficiency and potentially reduce the size of the DC/DC converter circuit.

By using the IHLP-1616BZ-0H, design engineers can improve efficiency and potentially reduce the size of the DC/DC converter circuit.

     Typical applications for the IHL P-1616BZ-0H include laptops and desktop computers, sensors, cameras, POL converters, and a variety of battery-powered devices that require one or more stable voltages. When the IHLP-1616BZ-0H works with a high frequency controller IC, it is possible to use a model with a smaller inductance value, thereby reducing DC losses, as well as reducing high frequency core losses, so that smaller inductors can be used while improving energy efficiency.

     The typical DCR of the IHLP-1616BZ-0H series ranges from 5.5mQ to 26.6mQ, with inductance values from 0.10μH to 1.0μH. The IHLP-1616BZ-0H has a current rating of up to 45.0A and can handle high transient current spikes without saturation.

     The inductors are packaged in a 100% lead-free, shielded composite structure that reduces buzzer noise to a very low level, and the inductors are highly resistant to thermal shock, moisture and mechanical shock. IHLP-1616BZ-0H compliant with RoHS and Vishay green standards, halogen-free.
