Verisilicon unveils super resolution technology for smart display devices
Verisilicon has announced the launch of the Super resolution IP SR2000. The IP enables the low resolution video source to display at the terminal with high image quality and resolution, while reducing the network bandwidth occupied by image transmission. It can be widely used in many fields such as consumer electronics, data center, security monitoring and medical health.
The SR2000 is designed to enable a high-quality super resolution solution with a small chip area and low power consumption, supporting 4K and 8K super resolution video output and providing clear and smooth detail enhancement. In addition, the SR2000 is capable of detail enhancement while maintaining color and saturation. When combined with AI technology, the IP also provides controllable performance enhancements to achieve desirable visual displays.
The SR2000 can be integrated with Verisilicon's existing pixel processing solutions to provide superior processing in the cloud and at the terminal. For example, the seamless integration of the SR2000 IP and IP DC9000, the display processor of the core, provides enhanced display effect and achieves 4K/8K HDR display, improving user experience. The SR2000 can also be integrated with the core's image signal processor (ISP) IP and video processor (VPU) IP to improve image quality during image signal processing and video coding, enabling users to obtain clearer display effects when enlarging images.
