SCHURTER introduces contactless switches for THS invisible mounting applications

     Traditional switches usually require an unsightly large mounting hole in the user interface, SCHURTER's THS (Touchless Hidden Switch) non-contact invisible switch has made a breakthrough; The product can be mounted from the back, almost invisible, as long as a small opening is left in the user interface, the ToF sensor can operate reliably.

     The new SCHURTER THS can be used with proven ToF sensors from well-known TTS pushbutton switches; The light beam emitted by the light source is reflected by the surrounding environment, and the reflected light is captured by the sensor, and the distance is calculated at the constant speed of light and the measured transmission time, with very high accuracy! A tiny, almost invisible gap in the control surface through which light signals can be transmitted and received is sufficient for the pushbutton switch to be activated on approach.

     The switch can be simply fixed behind the operating interface, which can be made of any desired material without affecting its function, so materials that are particularly easy to clean can be selected. The range of possible applications is quite wide, ranging from design buttons to critical applications in medical technology, or public applications.

     As standard, the button is designed for 2cm thick glass with RGB surface lighting. If other materials or surface thicknesses are used, your Sutec representative can provide a proprietary design kit with which to test and adjust all specifications. In addition, custom Settings such as distance, time, lighting, etc. can be easily tested individually with the kit.
