Knob potentiometers simplify design and optimize costs for industrial and audio applications

     New Yorker Electronics now offers two new Vishay panel potentiometers that offer integrated knobs and IP67 seals. The Vishay Sfernice P16F and PA16F feature high dielectric strength of 5000VAC and power ratings of up to 1W at +40C, designed to simplify design and optimize costs in industrial and audio applications.

     By combining the knob with the panel potentiometer in a single component, the device eliminates the need to purchase and assemble separate knobs. In addition, only hardware and terminals are installed on the back of the panel, and the compact potentiometer reduces the gap behind the panel to an extremely low <15mm.

     PA16F with conductive plastic resistance elements is used in audio applications, while Cermet P16F is used in industrial motor drivers, welding equipment, HVAC and lighting systems, and control panels. With a complete IP67 seal, the equipment provides reliable operation in extreme environmental conditions.

     Potentiometers are available with custom knob markers, resistance values, wires and connectors, as well as brake and switching options. Metal knobs are also available on request. Equipment is tested in accordance with CECC 41000 or IEC 60393-1.
