Infineon Edge Protect embedded security solutions meet the consumer and industrial iot requirements of system developers and regulators

     Infineon Technologies announces the launch of Edge Protect, an embedded security solution. This new software solution has four types of security configurations to meet customer requirements for iot applications with ever-increasing security features. Edge Protect is specifically optimized for the Infineon PSoC and AIROC family of products, and this new solution also offers pre-configured product security categories to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.

     Research by Bain & Company shows that lack of security is a major barrier to adopting iot applications; If security issues were better addressed, more than 70 percent of customers would purchase more iot devices. Infineon's new Edge Protect has built-in security software and is "PSA certified" - PAS is a common security framework created by Arm in 2018 to bring the iot and embedded ecosystem into a common security benchmark. With Edge Protect, consumer and industrial iot Oems can better protect their brands, reduce liability risks, protect their IP and get their products to market faster.
