Epishine and NGK Insulators Ltd. announce a partnership
Epishine and NGK Insulators Ltd. have announced their partnership aimed at further strengthening the energy harvesting ecosystem. By combining Epishine's innovative indoor solar cells with NGK's advanced EnerCera battery technology, they aim to advance the development of sustainable energy.
This partnership combines the strengths of both companies to meet the growing demand for efficient, sustainable and adaptable energy solutions. Epishine's thin, flexible solar cells are designed for indoor environments and work seamlessly with NGK's EnerCera cells. EnerCera's low leakage current and high power density greatly improve the efficiency of the energy harvesting system, ensuring that the energy captured from indoor light is stored efficiently. In addition, the EnerCera's semi-solid state design improves safety and reliability, minimizing the risks associated with traditional battery technology, such as leaks and overheating.
The collaboration also takes advantage of the unique shape of EnerCera batteries and Epishine organic solar cells. The thin, flexible design of these products offers unique integration opportunities, especially in compact, portable and wearable devices where innovative design and performance are key. In addition, NGK's SMT compatibility further expands the range of electronic devices that can benefit from this combined solution, making it ideal for applications where space savings and high performance are critical.
