Diodes' low-power 1.8V, 2.5Gbps, dual-data channel ReDriver supports the MIPI D-PHY 1.2 protocol

     Diodes introduces a low-power, high-performance signal ReDriver that complies with the MIPI D-PHY 1.2 protocol. The PI2MEQX2503 reconstructs signals transmitted from the camera to the display with data transfer rates of up to 2.5Gbps and is suitable for a variety of product applications such as laptops, tablets, mobile phones, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, commercial displays, augmented reality head-mounted displays, drones and robotics.

     The PI2MEQX2503 features a dual data channel equalizer and a single clock channel to compensate for losses associated with PCBS, interfaces, wires and switches. This ReDriver enables optimal electrical performance for transmission from the CSI2 signal source to the DSI receiver. It operates at speeds of up to 2.5Gbps, complies with the MIPI D-PHY 1.2 specification, and is suitable for camera images with increasing pixel numbers.

     The PI2MEQX2503's 120mW active mode power consumption is more power efficient than the ReTimer. In addition, low power (5mW), ultra-low power (2mW) and shutdown (0.2mW) operating modes can further save power and help extend battery life. Features such as programmable receiver equalization, output swing, and pre-weighting compensate for channel losses and achieve low latency on longer tracks while minimizing power consumption.

     The PI2MEQX2503 supports industrial applications in the operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C for further durability. This space-saving ReDriver comes in an extremely small X1QFN-24 (XEA24) package, measuring just 2mm x 4mm.
