     The SCH1633-D01 from Murata extends its innovative line of six-degree-of-freedom devices. Mems-based sensors provide benchmarks for performance, system integration, and total cost optimization. It is designed for a variety of automotive applications including AD, ADAS, inertial navigation, vehicle stability control, and camera or headlight alignment.

     The SCH1633-D01 is a single-package solution optimized for a regional architecture where all required subsystems such as GNSS integration, chassis control, and vehicle attitude sensing (camera and headlight alignment) can be measured. It aims to be deployed in a central vehicle IMU to provide high-quality signals to all subsystems within the vehicle, even in the harshest environments. This integration helps reduce system complexity and provides a much-needed opportunity for cost optimization.

     The device is packaged in a unique 24-pin SOIC housing and uses the SafeSPI 2.0 interface with up to 20-bit data frames for extremely smooth and high-resolution output. This component supports a variety of system-level time synchronization functions, enabling the output of the device to be easily utilized throughout the vehicle. In addition, extensive self-diagnostics utilize more than 200 monitoring signals to ensure that the output is always trustworthy.

     The SCH1633-D01 delivers high-quality output even under harsh temperature conditions. It is AEC-Q100 Level 1 certified to ensure reliable use throughout the life of the component and is ISO26262 compliant with the ASIL-B+ rating (up to ASIL-D through system integration) with excellent built-in safety.
