Car image sensors are now compatible with Snapdragon digital chassis

     OmniVision Technologies has announced, Its OX08D10 8MP CMOS image sensor using TheiaCel technology is now available on Qualcomm's Snapdragon Ride platform, Snapdragon Ride Flex SoC and Snapdragon Pre-integrated and color-tuned validation on the Cockpit platform for next-generation ADAS and AI-enabled connected digital cockpits.

     "Customers using Snapdragon digital chassis solutions will be able to pair our recently introduced OX08D10 image sensor into their systems, enabling industry-leading high dynamic range (HDR), LED flicker mitigation (LFM) and low light sensitivity for high-resolution advanced driver assistance systems." Says Paul Wu, Ph.D., head of automotive product marketing at OMNIVISION. "The OX08D10 is the industry's first image sensor to incorporate TheiaCel's new technology, which is particularly exciting as it brings a new era to LFM HDR with an easy-to-implement solution that greatly improves image quality."

     The image sensor provides automotive Oems with a device that combines the most important features of ADAS :8 megapixel resolution, 2.1 μm TheiaCel technology for wider dynamic range, industry-leading low-light performance, LED flicker mitigation, compact size and low power consumption.
