C&K Components introduces the new CCM01 MK5 Series of small size smart card connectors

     C&K Components has introduced the new CCM01 MK5 series of small size smart card connectors. The range complies with Europay, MasterCard, Visa (EMV) and Payment card industry (PCI) standards and is perfect for point-of-sale (POS), mobile point-of-sale (mPOS), transaction and identification services.

     The CCM01 MK5 series smart card connector features a sealed card detection switch and a stable architecture with an operating life of up to 500,000 cycles. The product is available in two small form factor package options: a 4.0mm plastic lid with a 10N(maximum) clamping force; Or a 3.2mm metal lid with a 40N(maximum) insertion force, both with a 1N(minimum) and 10N(maximum) withdrawal force.

     The CCM01 MK5 series connectors are designed to meet technical specifications for a wide variety of applications and are also suitable for short, concave terminal tails for PCI applications. The exposed long terminal tail is convenient for rework; The long terminal tail with a metal positioning post is suitable for heavy 40N clamp force applications. In addition, the connector is available with all ESD options, including full, partial, and no ESD protection.

     All versions of the CCM01 MK5 smart card connector compliant with the RoHS Directive have a life of 500,000 cycles and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
