Atmel introduces the next generation of radiation-resistant mixed-signal ASics for aerospace applications
Atmel Corporation has announced the next generation of radiation-resistant (rad-hard) mixed-signal application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) platforms that provide high density solutions with superior functionality for aerospace applications. The ATMX150RHA, manufactured using a 150nm process based on insulated silicon (SOI), further expands Atmel's own portfolio of anti-radiation solutions.
Atmel's latest mixed-signal ATMX150RHA platform simplifies the design process for aviation applications and can provide up to 22 million routable grates with non-volatile memory blocks, a flexible form factor consisting of compiled SRAM and DPRAM blocks, and a flexible form factor of up to 22 million routing blocks. It also supports 2.5/3.3/5V and high voltage (25-45-65V) input/output capabilities with certified analog IP. This highly integrated and flexible ASIC platform reduces overall material costs for aerospace applications. Leading third parties and proprietary design tool vendors, including Synopsys, Mentor and Cadence, now support the ATMX150RHA ASIC platform.
Building on Atmel's nearly 30 years of technical experience in the aerospace industry, the latest ATMX150RHA platform integrates Atmel's proven radiation-resistant solutions while providing customers with comprehensive service options to design ASics for certified flight models. As with Atmel's previous ASIC platforms, all ATMX150RHA products are designed, assembled, tested and certified in Europe.
